I am Alice Marsh, a personal stylist based in SE London and this is my June newsletter of style suggestions, ideas and inspiration from the last 30 days.

Girl Powder Mountain Retreat

Well June certainly started off with a bang!

I was incredibly lucky to be invited on the Summer Girl Powder Chamonix Mountain Retreat. This has literally got to have been one of my best holidays ever for seriously pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I'm never worried about going off on holiday on my own, anyone who is, should never worry about this part as there are always incredible people on this kind of holiday and lots of people choose to do them on their own.

So this holiday is more of an adventure holiday AND a yoga retreat ....but you can be as adventurous as you want to be .....and for someone who doesn't particularly like heights, I was incredibly proud that I signed up for all the activities, including mountain hiking, e-biking and bloody parapenting ....which is running off the side of a mountain in an over sized rucksack strapped on to a very handsome French man with a parachute!!

SERIOUSLY .....watch the video here with the sound on!!
This really was an incredible adventure where I met an amazing bunch of women who all supported and cheered each other on throughout the day and raised a glass or three (that was me obvs) in the evening, marvelling at how amazing we'd all been conquering our fears!!

Laura really is the most incredible host who treated us to delicious fine dining each evening with either private chefs or a more relaxed fondu or raclette cheese and wine night.

I can't recommend this fabulous retreat enough and we have a discount code where you can get 10% off any booking until the end of July.

I've not skied in years but really quite fancy signing up to the Winter retreat asap....who's with me?! ;-)

Polo In the Park

As well as my work as a Personal Stylist, I also freelance for my brother's company On Side Hospitality where I attend the events and ensure that all of our clients are having a wonderful time and that we have someone there all day "On Side" should they need anything above and beyond.

I shared a little "Get To Know Me Reel" over on my instagram this week talking about the other work I do, which you can read here if you missed it.

GET TO KNOW ME HERE

As well as my Personal Styling & Instagram collaborations I also work at On Side Hospitality, hosting and event managing all of their sporting and music events through out the year. So you will see me at lots more events over the next few months including Henley, The Britsih Grand Prix and Ascot.

It's a fun role and works incredibly well along side my other two jobs, as I'm very lucky and get sent lots of beautiful outfits to wear to each event by some amazing brands and it's a brilliant opportunity to meet potential styling clients too. It's also very early mornings, long days, lots of running around, standing around and some days I do wonder how long I'll be able to keep doing this as the older I get the more bloody knackered I am at the end of each event!!
Anyway, I'm not complaining and the Polo is a super fun summer event, you don't have to book the fancy hospitality, you can just attend with a ticket only and enjoy the fantastic Polo and a few cheeky Pimms in the sunshine.

There's shopping too, and I managed to pop along to visit Mudu London and try on a few of their absolutely stunning hats.
I wore this beautiful Cedar Blue dress from Timeless London teamed with my super duper comfy gold sandals from Air & Grace and an off white handbag from Sarah Haran.

You can shop my Polo outfit below ....

Royal Ascot 2024

As well as the Polo, I attended Royal Ascot, hosting for On Side Hospitality for all FIVE days!

Royal Ascot is an absolutely fabulous day out, incredible fashion and people watching opportunity. I love getting all dressed up and choosing my dress & hats for the week, however there's lots of running around making sure everyone is having a wonderful day, so I also have to be practical with my look and flat sensible shoes are essential, I can't go as a BIG and all out as I'd like to if I was a proper guest! ;-)

We had the pleasure of Darrel Jacobs, an International Irish Hunt Jockey cohosting and sharing all his tips for the week with our guests, which definitely made the Horse Racing a little more exciting, however, sadly I won't be retiring any time soon on any of my wins!

It's not all work and no play though and it's always fun working with the On Side teamI I also got the chance to catch up with a few friends, old and new during the week ....let's see how many below you might recognise....
Day 1.

I wore the stunning Julia Dress from Hope & Ivy, teamed with the perfect Coral Facinator from
Phase Eight & beautiful gold sandals from Monsoon until my feet started to burn and swapped to my good old faithful gold Air & graces.

Day 2.

This beautiful blue dress by a lovely little independent brand called 8th Design, got a huge amount of compliments and as they only make a limited edition of each design you know that not every one will be wearing the same dress as you!

Teamed with neutral accessories with my beautiful new Fairfax & Favour bag, another Phase Eight fascinator and old nude suede Vionic sandals, really helped make the blue from the dress pop!
Day 3.

Thursday is the unofficial Ladies Day, so this was my favourite look of the week. Another Hope & Ivy Coord teamed with an incredible hat, kindly loaned from the amazing Rose Collins Millinery. If you saw my reel from day 3 you'd have also seen that compared to Lystra Adams and a few others my look was positively understated! ;-)
Day 4.

Friday was super sunny and hot so I opted for the hot to trot, occasion dress of dreams from Anetos London. Another fabulous and affordable indi brand, who currently makes their dresses one size to fit 8-16.

Teamed with my over sized fedora from Hicks & Brown and a pop of neon pink with my new Air & Grace x Scamp & Dude sandals which are now sadly sold out I'm afraid!
Day 5.

Back to an old faithful with my Timeless London dress I'd worn to the Polo recently and a brilliant little fascinator from Phase Eight from a few years ago that is now sadly sold out.

My pretty flat gold sandals are also a few years old however still available from Made The Edit and linked below.
This really was a super duper fun week of fillies, fashion & fizz and I can't wait to do it all again next year!!

Sandown Races & The On Side Summer Party

Now the has literally got to be my fav outfit from June ....and quite possibly ever!! TBH this is more how I'd love to dress for Royal Ascot, however as mentioned above, it's just not practical so instead I went perhaps a little OTT for our On Side Summer Party at Sandown Races.

A huge thank you to Rose Collins Millinery for the loan of this absolutely stunning Clementine hat.

June's Beauty Must Haves .....

If you have dry, frizzy or damaged hair like me….
you are going to love using @uberliss bond healing spray in your hair wash routine 🖤

My hair really suffers from over using my straighteners and constant highlighting, however I feel much less guilty knowing that @uberliss multi-purpose hair mist works to improve the appearance of my damaged-looking hair caused by heated tools, chemical and bleach treatments.

And its so easy to use:
Spray generously to freshly washed hair. Comb through and leave on for at least 10 minutes before applying any other styling product.

Then just Dry and style …..and Ta Daaaaaahhhhhhh!!
I’m officially obsessed!! 🖤

I've previously shared a reel over on my instagram how I use this product and also how I curl my hair .... click below to go straight through to watch incase you missed it!!

We Are Two

So this was a fun little collaboration with the clever girls from We Are Two who have created these gorgeous two piece coords which can be worn as a jumpsuit and/or mixed and match the navy & camel.

We shot these in Maddy's beautiful home just on my iPhone with the intention of showcasing how versatile these pieces are for work, leisure and perfect for travel too!

We also ran a give-away on our Instagrams to win a two piece set in either navy or camel and if you're reading this before the 2nd July there's still time to enter!

If you're not lucky enough to win you can also sign up to their newsletter to receive 10% off on all orders!!

Tailored Nutritional Plan With Zana Morris

I've been working hard again recently with Zana, she helped me to get fit & fabulous over the years by explaining the benefits of intermittent fasting and how it works an absolute dream for menopausal, middle aged women, like myself!

I'm very aware that I did promise to do a live to talk through the recent 12 day low fat, sugar & carb programme, however what with all of the above and Zana's busy diary we've struggled to get this booked in but it's not forgotten and we will do asap. I know from my own experience and from all the messages I receive from you girls that the struggle is real!!
Again thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to read this & subscribe to my little newsletter and for all your support on my Instagram page too.

I have another exciting adventure coming up in July that yet again wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for you and the amazing community we have built.

I hope there was something of use or interest and, as always, please feel free to DM me any questions or queries or any ideas of things you'd like to see more of in here.

Please do forward this on to your friends who might enjoy this, they too can subscribe here.

Thanks again
